Elephants Foot Chute Solutions supplied and installed a waste chute system tailored to the building’s vertical layout and occupancy requirements. The system provides efficient waste transfer across multiple levels, reducing manual handling for building management and supporting well-organised waste room operations throughout the development.
The installation services eight chute pipe levels spanning levels 2 through 9, with eight fire-rated self-closing waste intake doors installed at each operational level. The chute runs straight up and down throughout the shaft, with the discharge room located at ground level.
A Type A bottom discharge door was installed at ground level, configured to suit a 1,100L MGB, providing a reliable and low-maintenance discharge solution at bin level. The discharge configuration supports clean and efficient waste collection, minimising handling requirements for facilities staff and keeping the ground level waste room well-organised.
A vent and wash-down cleaning system was installed at level 9, discharging through to roof level above to support airflow management, odour control, and internal chute hygiene throughout the full height of the shaft.
