For guidance on selecting the right chute system for your building, reach out to our team.

What materials can I dispose of in the chute?

Only general household waste, such as paper, plastic, and small food waste, should be disposed of in the chute. Avoid throwing large, sharp, or hazardous items that could damage the chute or cause blockages.

Are there weight or volume limits for the chute?

Yes, do not dispose of items heavier than 3 kg or larger than 30cm x 30cm x 30cm. This is typically only a small bag of household waste, as large or heavy objects could block or damage the chute system.

How can I prevent the chute from becoming blocked?

Ensure that your waste is securely bagged and not oversized. If items are too large, consider breaking them down before disposing of them.

What happens if the chute becomes blocked?

If the chute becomes blocked, contact our service and care team. Please avoid attempting to clear it yourself, especially if the system is connected to compactors or automated systems.

How often should the chute be cleaned and serviced?

We recommend to use the EF-Neutralizer to reduce odours and a cleaning spray at least monthly.

Remember to schedule a professional chute cleaning quarterly to reduce odours, bacteria, and pests and an annual maintenance, including lubrication and system checks to keeps your chute safe and efficient, with more frequent servicing recommended for high-traffic buildings.
