SOL is a luxury residential development by Rawcorp, located at 133-135 Musgrave Street, Coolangatta QLD, in the Kirra Beach precinct on Queensland’s southern Gold Coast. The development’s premium coastal setting and multi-level configuration required a practical and compliant waste management solution capable of servicing the full height of the building efficiently and reliably.
Elephants Foot Chute Solutions was engaged to supply and install a waste chute system tailored to the building’s vertical layout and occupancy requirements. The system provides efficient waste transfer across 10 chute pipe levels, with 10 fire-rated self-closing waste intake doors installed across all operational levels. Signage was fitted to each intake door to support correct use by residents throughout the building. The chute runs straight up and down throughout the shaft, with the discharge room located at basement level.
A Type A bottom discharge door was installed at basement level, configured to suit the selected MGB, providing a reliable and low-maintenance discharge solution at bin level. The discharge configuration supports clean and efficient waste collection and keeps the basement waste room well-organised for building management.
A vent and wash-down cleaning system was installed at the top of the chute shaft, discharging through to open air on the level above to support airflow management, odour control, and internal chute hygiene throughout the full height of the shaft.
The completed installation provides Rawcorp with a durable and compliant waste infrastructure solution suited to the scale and character of SOL, supporting reliable long-term performance and efficient building operations within the Kirra Beach precinct on Queensland’s southern Gold Coast.
