Lismore City Hall is a heritage civic and cultural venue by Bennett Constructions, located at 1 Bounty Street, Lismore NSW, in the heart of the Northern Rivers region. The venue’s heritage significance and high-use public environment required a practical and compliant waste management solution that integrates sensitively into the building’s operational infrastructure.
Elephants Foot Chute Solutions supplied and installed a waste chute system servicing one chute pipe level, with one fire-rated self-closing waste intake door installed at the operational level. The discharge room is located at ground level, fitted with a minor offset discharge configuration to suit the selected bin size. Embelton NRD isolation mounts were installed to ceiling-mounted discharge room equipment to meet the acoustic specification of the heritage venue environment.
A pre-commencement site inspection was carried out prior to installation to confirm site conditions, and an odour relief vent and flushing spray system was installed at the top of the shaft to support airflow management and internal chute hygiene. The completed installation provides Bennett Constructions with a compliant and low-maintenance waste solution suited to the operational demands of one of the Northern Rivers region’s most significant civic buildings.
