At Tallawong Village in Sydney’s growing North West region, Elephants Foot Chute Solutions partnered with Deicorp to deliver an advanced waste management system for this significant mixed-use development. The project serves nearly 1,000 apartments and 30 retail spaces across 9,000sqm of commercial and community areas, including a supermarket and central plaza.

The installation comprises 8 complete waste chute systems featuring 58 galvanised steel chute pipes manufactured to Elephants Foot Chute Solutions’ rigorous standards. The system incorporates 53 fire-rated hopper doors with 2-hour fire resistance at all waste intake points, ensuring compliance and maintaining hygiene throughout the high-traffic development.

For efficient waste processing, the basement level features 4 carousel compactor systems and 4 linear track bin system, all configured for 1100L mobile garbage bins (MGBs) to handle both waste and recycling streams. This dual-compactor approach optimizes space utilization while maximizing waste volume reduction in this high-density environment.
