Waste Chute System Installation

Sanctuary Stage 3 Willow is a waterfront residential development by Parkview Constructions, located at 14 Hill Road, Wentworth Point NSW. Designed by Turner Architects and positioned along the Parramatta River with views across Newington Nature Reserve and the Blue Mountains, the development comprises four building cores of varying heights, each requiring an individually configured waste chute system to suit its specific layout and discharge arrangement.

Elephants Foot Chute Solutions supplied and installed four waste chute systems across Buildings H, I, J1, and J2, providing a combined total of 47 chute pipe levels and 43 fire-rated self-closing waste intake doors installed across all operational levels. All 43 intake doors received smoke seal upgrades. Four bypass configurations were incorporated across buildings H, J1, and J2 at lower levels where intake access was not required.

Building H services 28 chute pipe levels with intake doors across the majority of operational levels, discharging to basement 1 via a minor offset discharge configuration to suit a 660L MGB. Buildings I, J1, and J2 each service five to seven chute pipe levels, each discharging to level 1 via minor offset discharge configurations to suit 660L MGBs. All four cores are fitted with linear systems configured to suit 660L waste MGBs, supporting efficient bin management within each discharge room.

Odour relief vent and flushing spray systems were installed at the top of all four chute shafts, discharging through to open air at a maximum of 3,000mm above the head of each chute to support airflow management, odour control, and internal chute hygiene throughout each shaft.

The completed installation provides Parkview Constructions with a durable, compliant, and practically configured waste infrastructure solution suited to the scale and waterfront character of Sanctuary Stage 3 Willow, supporting efficient building operations across all four cores.
