eDiverter and Waste Chute System Installation - The Foundry, Liverpool NSW

The Foundry is a high-density residential development by MN Builders, located at 32-34 Shepherd Street, Liverpool NSW. The building’s configuration required two independently designed chute systems to service different sections of the development, each tailored to the specific layout and waste handling requirements of its respective area.

Elephants Foot Chute Solutions was engaged to supply and install an eDiverter chute system and a separate waste chute system across the building, providing a combined total of 19 chute pipe levels across both systems. Together the systems deliver efficient waste and recycling transfer across multiple levels, reducing manual handling for building management and supporting well-organised waste room operations throughout the development.

Chute 1 is the primary eDiverter system, servicing 17 chute pipe levels from level 1 through to the roof terrace. Fire-rated self-closing eDiverter intake doors are installed at levels 2 through 16 and the roof terrace, with a bypass configuration at level 1 where no intake hopper is fitted. A chute offset is also incorporated at level 1 to suit the building layout. The discharge room is located at ground level, where an eDiverter discharge system configured to suit a 660L recycling MGB and a linear compactor system configured to suit a 660L waste MGB are installed, supporting efficient waste stream separation and compaction at discharge level.

Chute 2 is a separate waste chute system servicing two chute pipe levels at ground floor and level 1, with fire-rated self-closing waste intake doors installed at both levels. The discharge room for Chute 2 is located at lower ground level within the loading dock area, fitted with a custom Type A bottom discharge door configured to suit a 660L waste MGB.

Vent and wash-down cleaning systems were installed at the top of both chute shafts, with Chute 1 venting at roof terrace level and Chute 2 venting at level 1, each discharging through to the level above to support airflow management, odour control, and internal chute hygiene throughout both shafts.

The completed installation provides MN Builders with a durable, compliant, and practical waste management solution suited to the scale and configuration of The Foundry, supporting reliable long-term performance across both chute systems within a high-density residential environment.
