Vue by Ventus is a residential development by Ventus Constructions, located at 1-5 Oxford Street, Blacktown NSW, within Western Sydney’s fast-growing Blacktown City precinct. The development’s two-core configuration required individually designed waste chute systems to suit the layout and occupancy requirements of each building, providing practical and compliant waste handling across multiple levels.
Elephants Foot Chute Solutions was engaged to supply and install two waste chute systems across Buildings A and B, each configured to suit the specific layout of its respective core. The systems provide efficient waste transfer across a combined 12 chute pipe levels, with 12 fire-rated self-closing waste intake doors installed across all operational levels in both buildings. Signage was fitted to each intake door to support correct use by residents. Both chute shafts run straight up and down, with discharge rooms located at basement 1 in both buildings.
Each building is fitted with a Type A bottom discharge door configured to suit a 1,100L waste MGB, providing a reliable and low-maintenance discharge solution at bin level and supporting well-organised waste room operations within each basement waste room.
Vent and wash-down cleaning systems were installed at the top of both chute shafts, discharging through to open air on the level above to support airflow management, odour control, and internal chute hygiene throughout both shafts.
The completed installation provides Ventus Constructions with a durable and compliant waste infrastructure solution suited to the scale and operational demands of Vue by Ventus, supporting reliable long-term performance across both building cores within Western Sydney’s Blacktown City precinct.
