The Parkside is a high-density residential development by Alliance Project Group, located at 159-161 Epping Road, Macquarie Park NSW, approximately 14km from the Sydney CBD within the Macquarie Park education and business precinct. The development spans four building cores across north-west, north-east, south-west, and south-east orientations, each requiring an individually configured waste chute system to suit its specific layout and level count.
Elephants Foot Chute Solutions was engaged to supply and install four waste chute systems across all four building cores, providing a combined total of 54 chute pipe levels and 54 fire-rated self-closing waste intake doors installed at every operational level. The north-west and south-west buildings each service 14 chute pipe levels, while the north-east and south-east buildings each service 13 chute pipe levels. All four discharge rooms are located at ground level.
Each core is fitted with a linear track system without compactor configured to suit a 1,100L waste MGB, supporting efficient bin management and rotation within the ground floor waste rooms and reducing manual handling for building management across the development. A 240L bin lifter was also supplied and installed in the collection room to decant 240L recycling bins into a 660L recycling MGB, supporting organised recycling collection without the need for a separate recycling chute system.
Vent and wash-down cleaning systems were installed at the top of all four chute shafts, discharging through to roof level above to support airflow management, odour control, and internal chute hygiene throughout each shaft.
The completed installation provides Alliance Project Group with a durable, compliant, and practical waste infrastructure solution suited to the scale and configuration of The Parkside, supporting reliable long-term performance across all four building cores within the Macquarie Park precinct.
