Waste Chute System Installation

The Botany is a mixed-use residential development by Vantager Construction, located at 219-231 Botany Road, Waterloo NSW, within Sydney’s Green Square Urban Renewal Area approximately 3km from the CBD. The development spans three buildings across six garbage room locations, each requiring an individually configured waste chute system with integrated compaction equipment to suit its specific layout and discharge arrangement.

Elephants Foot Chute Solutions supplied and installed six waste chute systems across Buildings A, B, and C, providing a combined total of 39 chute pipe levels and 36 fire-rated self-closing waste intake doors across all operational levels. Bypass configurations were incorporated at selected levels in Buildings A West, C East, and C West. All six discharge rooms are located at basement 1, each fitted with a minor offset discharge configuration to suit a 660L waste MGB.

Buildings A and B are each fitted with carousel with compactor systems to suit 660L waste MGBs, while Buildings C East and C West are each fitted with linear compactor systems. Odour relief vent and flushing spray systems were installed at the top of all six chute shafts to support airflow management, odour control, and internal chute hygiene throughout the development.
