Stage 2 is a low-rise residential development by Sukkar Property Developments, located at 23 Pittwin Road North, Capalaba QLD, within Brisbane’s south-east corridor. The development provides medium-density residential accommodation within an established suburban setting, requiring a practical and compliant waste management solution suited to the scale and layout of the building.
Elephants Foot Chute Solutions was engaged to supply and install a waste chute system tailored to the building’s layout and occupancy requirements. The system provides efficient waste transfer across multiple levels, reducing manual handling for building management and supporting well-organised waste room operations throughout the development.
The installation services four chute pipe levels, with four fire-rated self-closing waste intake doors installed at each operational level. A chute offset was incorporated at ground level to route the chute to the discharge room, with the discharge room located at ground level.
A Type A bottom discharge door was installed at ground level, configured to suit the selected MGB, providing a reliable and straightforward discharge solution at bin level. The discharge configuration supports clean and efficient waste collection, minimising handling requirements for facilities staff and keeping the ground level waste room well-organised.
A vent and wash-down cleaning system was installed at the top of the chute shaft, discharging through to open air on the level above to support airflow management, odour control, and internal chute hygiene throughout the shaft.
The completed installation provides Sukkar Property Developments with a durable and compliant waste infrastructure solution suited to the scale and operational demands of Stage 2, delivering reliable long-term performance within a medium-density residential environment in Brisbane’s south-east corridor.
