Delmar is a luxury beachside residential development by Landmark Construction Group Australia, located at 2 Delmar Parade, Dee Why NSW, at the gateway to Dee Why’s town centre on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. The development’s premium coastal setting and high-density residential configuration required a practical and compliant waste management solution with integrated compaction equipment to support efficient waste room operations.
Elephants Foot Chute Solutions was engaged to supply and install a waste chute system tailored to the building’s vertical layout and occupancy requirements. The system provides efficient waste transfer across six chute pipe levels, with six fire-rated self-closing waste intake doors installed at every operational level. Signage was fitted to each intake door to support correct use by residents. The chute runs straight up and down throughout the shaft, with the discharge room located at ground level.
A carousel compactor system configured to suit a 240L waste MGB was installed at ground level, supporting efficient waste compaction and bin rotation within the ground floor waste room. The carousel configuration reduces the frequency of bin changeovers and minimises manual handling requirements for building management, providing a practical and low-maintenance waste room outcome suited to a high-density beachside residential building.
A vent and wash-down cleaning system was installed at the top of the chute shaft, discharging through to roof level above to support airflow management, odour control, and internal chute hygiene throughout the full height of the shaft.
The completed installation provides Landmark Construction Group Australia with a durable, compliant, and low-maintenance waste infrastructure solution suited to the scale and character of Delmar, supporting efficient building operations and a premium residential experience for occupants at the gateway to Dee Why’s vibrant beachside community.
