Ascend is a boutique luxury coastal residential development by Vantage Building Group, located at 37-39 Moreton Parade, Kings Beach QLD, within the Caloundra precinct on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast. The development’s premium coastal character and boutique scale required a practically considered and compliant waste management solution, including a custom integrated discharge and intake configuration to suit the specific layout of the building’s ground and level 1 waste room arrangement.
Elephants Foot Chute Solutions was engaged to supply and install a waste chute system tailored to the building’s vertical layout and occupancy requirements. The system services six chute pipe levels, with six fire-rated self-closing waste intake doors installed across all operational levels. Level 1 incorporates a custom integrated chute configuration where the intake hopper and discharge are combined into a single bespoke unit, with a custom medium offset discharge configuration to suit a 1,100L waste MGB at ground level.
A reusable slab penetration ring former was supplied to suit the 510mm chute diameter, supporting accurate penetration installation within the building structure. An odour relief vent and flushing spray system was installed at the top of the chute shaft, discharging through to open air at a maximum of 3,000mm above the head of the chute to support airflow management, odour control, and internal chute hygiene throughout the shaft.
The completed installation provides Vantage Building Group with a durable, compliant, and bespoke waste infrastructure solution suited to the boutique luxury character of Ascend, supporting efficient building operations and a refined residential experience within the Caloundra precinct on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.
