10 Devorgilla is a boutique luxury residential development by Healey Constructions, located at 10-12 Devorgilla Avenue, Toorak VIC, within one of Melbourne’s most prestigious inner-city suburbs. The development’s refined character and boutique scale required a practical and compliant waste management solution that performs reliably while integrating unobtrusively into the building’s day-to-day operations.
Elephants Foot Chute Solutions was engaged to supply and install a waste chute system tailored to the building’s vertical layout and occupancy requirements. The system provides efficient waste transfer across three chute pipe levels, with three fire-rated self-closing waste intake doors installed at every operational level. Signage was fitted to each intake door to support correct use by residents. The chute runs straight up and down throughout the shaft, with the discharge room located at basement level.
A Type A bottom discharge door was installed at basement level, configured to suit the selected MGB, providing a reliable and low-maintenance discharge solution at bin level and supporting an organised basement waste room environment for building management.
A vent and wash-down cleaning system was installed at the top of the chute shaft, discharging through to open air on the level above to support airflow management, odour control, and internal chute hygiene throughout the shaft.
The completed installation provides Healey Constructions with a durable and compliant waste infrastructure solution suited to the boutique luxury character of 10 Devorgilla, supporting reliable long-term performance and efficient building operations within one of Melbourne’s most sought-after residential addresses.
