A medium density residential development supported by quiet, compliant waste chute infrastructure

Turramurra Merrivale Lane is a residential development delivered by Kuatro Build within Sydney’s Upper North Shore. Located in an established residential precinct close to rail and local services, the project required a waste solution that balanced compliance, acoustic performance, and long term reliability.

Elephants Foot Chute Solutions delivered two centralised waste systems using durable Chute Systems designed for medium density residential buildings. Each system incorporated fire rated self closing Chute Doors to support fire compartmentation and safe daily use by residents.

To address noise transmission between levels, acoustic lagging was applied to chute sections, reducing structure borne noise and improving internal amenity. Ground level waste handling was managed through compliant Discharge Attachments sized to suit 240 litre mobile garbage bins and configured to suit basement discharge rooms.

Odour control and hygiene were maintained through integrated ventilation and wash down infrastructure, aligned with Elephants Foot’s proven Odour Management approach. The completed solution improves waste flow, reduces blockages, and supports consistent operational performance across both buildings.
