
Elephants Foot Chute Solutions partnered with Mirvac to supply and install advanced waste management systems at The Tullamore Apartments – Building C, part of the prestigious Forme collection within the Tullamore Estate. Designed for premium residential living, the development comprises 93 apartments across six and seven levels, offering one- to four-bedroom layouts with high-end finishes, basement parking, and luxury resident amenities.
The scope of works involved the design, supply, and installation of two Dual Chute Systems positioned in separate lift cores. Each system provided independent waste and recycling chutes constructed from 510mm galvanised steel, with a total of 30 chute pipe levels across the building. In total, 30 fire-rated, self-closing Chute Doors were installed with compliant signage to ensure safety and accessibility.
To support operational efficiency and resident amenity, the installation also included four vent and wash-down cleaning systems positioned at the top levels, discharging to open air above the roofline. In the basement discharge room, four Type A Bottom Discharge Chutes were configured to suit 1100L MGBs, accommodating both waste and recycling streams.
For acoustic comfort, both dual chute systems were upgraded with specialist lagging solutions, including Vibralag 5kg/m² or Soundlag 4525C, ensuring minimal noise transfer between levels. The systems were designed with straight vertical runs, ensuring structural integrity and reducing long-term maintenance requirements.
This dual chute configuration provided a modern and efficient waste management system for The Tullamore Apartments, aligning with Mirvac’s premium residential standards and compliance requirements.
