Elephants Foot Chute Solutions Installs Waste Chute System for The Witton Boutique Apartments in Indooroopilly

Elephants Foot Chute Solutions partnered with Mosaic Construction Pty Ltd to provide a tailored waste management solution for The Witton, a boutique residential development completed in August 2024 at Indooroopilly. Developed by Mosaic Property Group and designed by Rothelowman, The Witton consists of two luxury apartment buildings featuring river views, rooftop amenities, and app-based concierge services.

The works included the supply and installation of a waste chute system spanning 15 levels from level 2 through to the rooftop terrace. The chute pipes were fabricated in 510mm galvanised steel to Elephants Foot standard specifications, ensuring durability and long-term performance. Levels 4 through 15 and the rooftop terrace were fitted with 13 self-closing, fire-rated Chute Doors and signage, while levels 2 and 3 were bypassed without intake hoppers.

At the rooftop level, a vent and wash-down cleaning system was installed to maintain hygiene and enable effective odour and residue management, discharging through to open air above. On the ground floor, the discharge room was equipped with a Type A Bottom Discharge Chute configured to suit 1100L MGBs. The system was designed with a straight vertical run, incorporating only a standard offset allowance, which improved ease of installation and reduced maintenance requirements.

The installation was completed with an emphasis on safety, compliance, and efficiency, aligning the waste management system with the high standards of The Witton’s boutique design and premium residential living.
