Elephants Foot Chute Solutions was engaged by Mosaic Property Group to deliver a waste chute system for The Kensington, a luxury apartment development located at 38 Sylvan Road, Toowong. Designed by Cottee Parker Architects, the project comprises 63 spacious apartments with park and city views, complemented by rooftop amenities and high-end finishes that reflect modern inner-city living.

The works involved the supply and installation of a waste chute system servicing 8 residential levels. The chute pipes were installed from levels 1 through 8, with each level fitted with a self-closing, fire-rated Chute Door and compliant signage. At level 8, a vent and wash-down cleaning system was installed to maintain hygiene and odour control, discharging through to the roof above.

The ground floor discharge room was fitted with a Type A Bottom Discharge Chute designed for 1100L MGBs. One offset was required at the ground level to accommodate the system layout, with all other chute sections running in a straight vertical line for efficiency and ease of maintenance.

This installation combined safety, compliance, and practicality, ensuring The Kensington’s waste management solution aligned with the building’s luxury standards and operational needs.
