The Harrington Collection, located in Sydney’s historic The Rocks precinct, is a premium mixed-use development comprising 58 luxury residences, including three penthouses and three terrace sub-penthouses, alongside over 2,000m² of retail and commercial space. Developed by Golden Age Group and Hannas, with architecture by fjcstudio, the project demanded a high-performance waste management system capable of supporting both residential and retail operations.
Elephants Foot Chute Solutions was engaged to design, supply, and install a customised chute system tailored to the development’s unique requirements.
The system covered two building blocks, incorporating 12 waste levels with hoppers, fire-rated stainless steel chute doors with clear signage, Type ‘A’ bottom discharge chutes suited to 1,100L MGBs, and integrated vents and wash-down cleaning systems. The chutes were installed as straight vertical runs without offsets, ensuring operational efficiency, easy maintenance, and compliance with safety standards.
