Elephants Foot Chute Solutions partnered with Loftus Building to supply and install a waste chute system for The Glade, a boutique residential development designed by Olsson Architects. Comprising 20 modern apartments and a ground-floor retail space, the project combines bold architectural design with practical luxury in the heart of Gladesville.
The installation included five 510mm galvanised steel chute pipes, extending across residential levels and supported by five fire-rated, self-closing intake hopper doors to ensure compliance with Australian safety standards. To maintain hygiene and airflow, two odour relief vents and flushing sprays were integrated, venting through to the open air above the rooftop.
At the basement level, the chute system was completed with two minor-offset discharge attachments designed to suit 660L mobile garbage bins, optimising waste collection efficiency for both residents and building managers.
