Elephants Foot Chute Solutions partnered with HDJ Constructions to deliver a complete waste management solution for The Gallery Collective, a contemporary mid‑rise residential development at 58–68 Regent Street, Kogarah. Designed by PBD Architects, the building was conceived to provide premium apartment living with strong architectural character, generous balconies and high‑quality communal spaces, requiring a waste system that could match both performance and design expectations.
The project was equipped with a fully integrated Chute Systems solution comprising twelve levels of 510mm galvanised steel waste chute pipe, serving the Ground floor through to Level 10 and the Roof Terrace. Each level was fitted with self‑closing, fire‑rated Chute Doors, providing safe and compliant access for residents while maintaining fire and acoustic separation throughout the building.
At the discharge level, the system integrates a Linear Track Compactor from Elephants Foot’s Linear Track Bin System, allowing waste to be compacted directly into a 1,100L mobile garbage bin. This configuration maximises waste handling efficiency, reduces bin changeovers and supports a clean, organised basement waste room.
The installation also includes a vent and wash‑down cleaning system discharging to open air above the roof, helping maintain hygiene, airflow and odour control across all chute levels. With all chute sections running straight up and down, the system delivers a reliable, low‑maintenance solution that supports the long‑term operation of this high‑quality residential development.
