eDiverter Chute System Installed at The Catalina, Chevron Island

Elephants Foot Chute Solutions partnered with Rawcorp to deliver a tailored eDiverter® chute system for The Catalina, a luxury Art Deco-inspired residential project designed by BDA Architects on Chevron Island, Surfers Paradise. The development features 75 premium apartments across nine levels, supported by two levels of above-ground parking, requiring a modern and efficient waste and recycling system.

The installation included 510mm galvanised steel chute pipes spanning eight levels, fitted with fire-rated, self-closing eDiverter intake hopper doors and clear signage at every level. The system was designed to run vertically without offsets, ensuring reliability and smooth operation.

To support hygiene and functionality, Elephants Foot integrated a rooftop washdown cleaning system and a venting solution to discharge through the roof. At the ground-floor garbage room, the system was completed with an eDiverter discharge unit configured to suit 2m³ mobile garbage bins for both waste and recycling streams, supported by a protective plastic strip curtain at the chute base.

This installation demonstrates Elephants Foot’s ability to deliver space-efficient and compliant waste infrastructure to meet the needs of high-density residential projects.
