A centrally located residential development supported by a modern, compliant dual waste and recycling chute system

Tara on Park is a medium density residential development delivered by GOP Constructions in Sydney’s Upper North Shore corridor. Located close to rail, retail, and local services, the building required a centralised solution capable of managing daily waste and recycling volumes while maintaining safety, reliability, and operational efficiency.

Elephants Foot Chute Solutions designed and installed a dual stream system using robust galvanised steel pipework from its Dual Chute Systems range. The vertical configuration enables separate waste and recycling streams, supporting improved diversion rates and reducing contamination at source.

Each residential level is fitted with fire rated, self closing Chute Doors to enhance fire safety, limit odour transfer, and improve resident usability. The chute risers form part of a fully integrated Chute Systems solution engineered for consistent performance across multiple levels.

At basement level, material is discharged through compliant Discharge Attachments into dedicated bin handling systems. Waste is managed via a Carousel Bin System to optimise space and streamline collections, while recycling is supported by a Linear Track Bin System suited to 660 litre MGBs.

An integrated washdown and venting solution forms part of Elephants Foot’s broader Odour Management approach. This reduces build up within the chute, minimises blockages, and supports long term hygiene and system reliability. The completed installation delivers a compliant, low maintenance waste infrastructure solution aligned with the needs of medium density residential living.
