Dual Chute System for Stockdale Avenue Student Accommodation

Elephants Foot partnered with Iurada to deliver an eDiverter® Chute System for Stockdale Avenue Student Accommodation, a purpose-built project designed by PWA. The three-level facility, comprising 65 self-contained units with basement parking and communal amenities, required a space-efficient and compliant chute system.

The installation incorporated 510mm galvanised steel chute pipes with the eDiverter® mechanism, enabling seamless separation of waste and recycling through a single chute line. Each floor was fitted with fire-rated chute doors to ensure compliance with Australian Standards. At basement level, the chute connected to customised discharge attachments designed to suit both 660L and 1100L mobile garbage bins.

To maintain hygiene and resident comfort, the system included odour relief vents and flushing sprays at the top level, complemented by integrated odour management solutions in the discharge room. Reusable slab penetration ring formers were also supplied, ensuring long-term installation efficiency and reduced construction costs.
