Elephants Foot Chute Solutions partnered with Valeo Constructions to deliver a dual chute system for the boutique Stanley & Roden development in West Melbourne. Comprising two low-rise buildings with 51 apartments, the project required a reliable and space-efficient waste management solution.
The installation included 10 galvanised steel chute pipes across five levels, with 10 self-closing, fire-rated intake hopper doors serving both waste and recycling. Each door was supplied with clear signage to support compliance and resident convenience.
To maintain hygiene and operational efficiency, rooftop vent and washdown cleaning systems were installed. At the basement level, the system was completed with two Type A discharge attachments designed to suit 1100L mobile garbage bins (MGBs), one for general waste and one for recycling.
Custom fabricated offsets were incorporated at the ground, first, and second levels to accommodate building requirements, ensuring the chute system integrated seamlessly within the architectural design. The completed installation reflects a durable, compliant, and sustainable approach to managing waste streams in a boutique residential environment.
