Elephants Foot Chute Solutions Installs Waste Chute Systems with Integrated Compactors for Stanford & Oxford in Dutton Park

Elephants Foot Chute Solutions partnered with Stockwell to deliver two waste chute systems for Stanford & Oxford, a dual-building residential project in Dutton Park comprising 82 apartments. Each building required a tailored installation to meet the demands of multi-residential living, while ensuring safety, compliance, and efficiency.

In Building A, a system of five galvanised steel chute pipe levels was installed, fitted with five fire-rated Chute Doors upgraded with medium-temperature smoke seals. The installation included signage for each intake door, a rooftop vent and wash-down system, and a basement discharge room housing an integrated Single Bin Compactor with a 2:1 compaction ratio, configured for 1100L MGBs.

In Building B, a four-level chute system was delivered, featuring four fire-rated chute doors with smoke seals, compliant signage, a rooftop vent and wash-down system, and a second integrated single bin compactor.

Both systems included an acoustic lagging upgrade with a 25mm, 5kg/m² acoustic barrier bonded to convoluted foam, reducing noise transfer through chute sections. Premium shop drawing services were provided for both cores to ensure precise installation, and annual maintenance services were scheduled to guarantee long-term performance.

This comprehensive solution provided Stanford & Oxford with efficient and durable waste infrastructure, combining high safety standards with acoustic performance and integrated compaction technology.
