Elephants Foot Chute Solutions partnered with Pellicano to deliver a dual chute system for Hillyard House, the seventh stage of the South City Square precinct in Woolloongabba. Rising 15 storeys and offering more than 150 premium apartments, the development required a high-capacity system to accommodate both waste and recycling streams.

The installation comprised galvanised steel chute pipe levels split between general waste and recycling. Across the building 30 fire-rated, self-closing Chute Doors were installed, each fitted with compliant signage. Variations included custom intake offsets between levels 2 and 3, designed and fabricated to meet site-specific requirements.

At rooftop level, two odour management and wash-down systems were supplied and installed to ensure ventilation and hygiene. The basement discharge room was fitted with two Type A Discharge Attachments configured to suit mobile garbage bins, providing streamlined collection for both waste and recycling.

Additional inclusions such as access panels improved serviceability, while premium fabrication and compliance ensured long-term system reliability. Together, these works provided South City Stage 7 with a durable and efficient waste infrastructure, aligned with the precinct’s high-density build-to-rent model.
