Serenity is a multi residential development located in West Gosford on the NSW Central Coast. Delivered by BF Build, the project provides modern apartment living within a growing urban precinct designed to support efficient building operations, resident amenity, and long‑term asset performance.
Elephants Foot Chute Solutions supplied and installed a compliant 510mm galvanised steel waste chute system engineered to support efficient vertical waste transfer throughout the building. The installation services eight operational waste intake levels spanning Ground to Level 7, allowing residents to dispose of waste safely while improving waste management efficiency for building operators.
Each intake level is fitted with fire‑rated self‑closing hopper doors designed to meet Australian building standards and ensure safe daily operation. As part of the installation, intake doors were upgraded with medium‑temperature smoke seals to enhance fire safety performance within the building’s vertical service core.
The chute system runs vertically without additional transfers, ensuring consistent gravity waste flow and reducing long‑term maintenance requirements. An integrated vent and wash‑down cleaning system was installed at Level 7 to support airflow management, odour control, and ongoing hygiene within the chute shaft.
Waste collected through the chute discharges to the Basement 1 waste room where a minor offset connects to a splitter discharge system configured to suit 1100L MGB bins. This arrangement supports efficient waste distribution into collection bins while maintaining organised waste room operations for building management.
