To meet these requirements, Elephants Foot Chute Solutions supplied and installed a dedicated residential waste chute system designed for consistent vertical waste transfer across Levels 01 to 04. The system incorporates durable 510mm galvanised steel chute pipes, selected for strength, longevity, and suitability within multi‑residential construction.
Each level is fitted with fire‑rated, self‑closing waste chute intake doors, ensuring safe and compliant resident access while supporting building fire safety requirements. To enhance acoustic performance and minimise noise transfer between apartments, the chute system includes a 55mm foil‑faced glass‑wool acoustic lagging upgrade fixed to all chute sections—an important consideration in medium‑density living environments.
An integrated vent and wash‑down cleaning system is installed at Level 04, supporting airflow, odour control, and internal chute hygiene to maintain reliable daily operation. At Basement 01, waste discharges via a minor‑offset arrangement designed to suit operational bin handling requirements, ensuring practical servicing access while maintaining efficient waste flow.
