Designed to support medium to high‑density apartment living, the project required a reliable and compliant waste management solution capable of servicing daily residential demand.
To meet these requirements, Elephants Foot Chute Solutions supplied and installed a purpose‑designed residential waste chute system incorporating an eDiverter configuration to support efficient vertical waste transfer while maintaining safety, hygiene, and long‑term operational performance.
The system features custom‑fabricated 610mm galvanised steel chute pipes servicing 17 levels from Ground to Level 16. Each chute section was designed with custom support legs and brackets to suit site‑specific structural requirements, ensuring stability and long‑term durability within the building core.
Fire‑rated, self‑closing eDiverter intake doors are installed on Levels 2 through 16, providing safe and intuitive access for residents while maintaining fire and smoke separation between floors. Bypass levels at Ground and Level 1 allow for seamless chute continuity without resident access.
At the top of the chute, a dedicated vent and wash‑down cleaning system supports odour control, internal hygiene, and long‑term system performance. This automated solution reduces maintenance requirements while protecting the internal condition of the chute.
At basement level, waste is discharged via a medium‑offset eDiverter discharge system into 1100L mobile garbage bins. This configuration integrates efficiently with the building’s residential waste management strategy, supporting safe servicing and reduced manual handling for building management.
