Flair Apartments Waste Chute System

Flair is a medium‑density residential development delivered by Gaby Group within Sydney’s south‑west growth corridor. Located close to retail, transport, and community services, the project required a dependable waste handling solution capable of supporting daily residential demand while maintaining compliance, operational efficiency, and long‑term building performance.

To meet these requirements, Elephants Foot Chute Solutions supplied and installed two dedicated residential waste chute systems servicing both building foyers, enabling efficient vertical waste transfer and streamlined waste handling across all residential levels while reducing manual handling requirements for building management teams.

Each system incorporates 510mm galvanised steel chute pipes together with fire‑rated, self‑closing waste intake doors installed at each level, providing safe, compliant, and user‑friendly resident access while ensuring the system meets relevant fire safety and building code requirements.

Integrated vent and wash‑down cleaning systems installed at the uppermost levels support airflow, odour control, and internal chute hygiene, helping maintain system cleanliness and reliability in a multi‑residential environment with consistent daily usage.

At basement level, waste streams discharge via minor offset arrangements into linear compactor systems designed to suit 660L bins, forming part of the building’s broader residential waste management infrastructure engineered to improve servicing efficiency, reduce handling time, and support reliable long‑term building operations.
