To meet these requirements, Elephants Foot Chute Solutions supplied and installed five dedicated residential waste chute systems, enabling efficient vertical waste transfer throughout the development. The multi‑core configuration allows each building lift zone to operate independently, improving resident accessibility while supporting efficient servicing operations for building management teams. Each installation incorporates durable 510mm galvanised steel chute pipes configured in straight vertical runs to minimise offsets, promoting smooth material flow, reducing potential blockages, and supporting long‑term maintenance efficiency.
Fire‑rated, self‑closing waste chute intake doors are installed across operational residential levels, providing safe, secure, and user‑friendly resident access while ensuring full compliance with building fire safety requirements. At the uppermost levels, integrated vent and wash‑down cleaning systems support internal chute hygiene, airflow management, and odour control—key considerations for maintaining performance consistency in multi‑storey residential buildings with high daily usage.
At discharge level, each chute connects to dedicated linear compactor equipment designed to suit 660L bins, significantly improving waste handling efficiency, reducing collection frequency, and streamlining waste room operations. The coordinated system layout ensures reliable separation of servicing zones while optimising space utilisation within ground and basement discharge rooms.
