Dandenong Road Residences is a medium‑density residential development delivered by AG Construct in Melbourne’s inner south‑east. Located along a major transport corridor with strong access to retail and local services, the project required a reliable and compliant waste solution capable of supporting daily residential use.

To meet these requirements, Elephants Foot Chute Solutions supplied and installed a single eDiverter™ waste and recycling chute system, providing controlled separation of waste streams while maintaining safe and efficient vertical transfer within the building.

The system incorporates 510mm galvanised steel chute pipes servicing five residential levels from Ground to Level 4. Fire‑rated, self‑closing chute intake doors are installed on each active level, offering residents clear, safe, and compliant access while maintaining fire and smoke separation between floors.

At the top of the chute, a dedicated vent and wash‑down cleaning system supports airflow, odour control, and internal hygiene, helping preserve long‑term system performance in a residential environment.

At basement level, waste and recycling are discharged via an eDiverter™ bottom discharge system to suit 1100L mobile garbage bins. The straight‑through chute configuration eliminates offsets, reducing maintenance requirements and supporting efficient bin handling as part of the building’s broader residential waste management system.
