The Belmont Residences is a medium‑density residential development delivered by Orion Builders in the established Geelong suburb of Belmont. Located close to local retail, services, and public transport links, the project required a practical internal linen handling solution to support day‑to‑day building operations.
To meet these requirements, Elephants Foot Chute Solutions supplied and installed a dedicated linen chute system designed to provide safe and efficient vertical transfer while maintaining hygiene and long‑term performance.
The system incorporates a 510mm galvanised steel chute pipe servicing Level 01. The compact configuration is well suited to medium‑density residential applications where space efficiency and reliability are key considerations.
A fire‑rated, self‑closing linen intake door is installed at the active level, ensuring safe access while maintaining fire and smoke separation. At the top of the chute, an integrated wash‑down cleaning system supports hygiene and assists with ongoing maintenance.
At ground level, linen is discharged via a medium offset discharge arrangement into a collection trolley (size to be confirmed). Custom chute support angles were supplied to suit the 670 x 670mm slab penetration, ensuring secure installation and long‑term structural stability. The completed system provides a reliable, low‑maintenance linen handling solution aligned with the operational needs of the building.
