Hythe Residences is a medium‑density residential development delivered by Alroe Constructions within the Miami coastal precinct on the Gold Coast. Located close to the beachfront, retail, and transport links, the project required a waste solution that balanced efficiency, compliance, and long‑term performance in a coastal environment.

To support daily resident use, Elephants Foot  Chute Solutions supplied and installed a single eDiverter™ chute system, providing controlled waste stream management while maintaining safe and efficient vertical transfer throughout the building.

The system includes 510mm galvanised steel chute pipes servicing levels Ground through to Roof Terrace. Fire‑rated, self‑closing eDiverter intake doors are installed at each level, ensuring compliance with fire safety requirements and providing secure, user‑friendly access for residents.

An integrated vent and wash‑down cleaning system is installed at the uppermost level, supporting airflow, odour management, and internal chute hygiene—an important consideration for coastal residential developments.

At basement level, waste is discharged via an eDiverter™ discharge system with a minor offset, designed to suit future bin size requirements. The straight‑through chute configuration minimises offsets, reducing maintenance demands and supporting long‑term operational reliability as part of the building’s broader residential waste management system.
