Norrebro Block C Waste & Recycling Chute System

Norrebro Block C is a medium‑density residential development delivered by Pier Projects Group within Canberra’s inner north growth corridor. Located close to transport, retail, and local services, the project required a waste management solution capable of supporting daily resident demand while maintaining compliance, efficiency, and long‑term operational reliability.

To support these requirements, Elephants Foot Chute Solutions supplied and installed dual waste and recycling chute systems servicing the building’s East and West cores, providing efficient vertical waste transfer and clear separation of waste streams throughout the development.

Each system incorporates 610mm galvanised steel chute pipes extending from Ground to Level 05, together with fire‑rated, self‑closing waste and recycling intake doors installed across residential levels to ensure safe, compliant, and user‑friendly resident access.

Integrated vent and wash‑down cleaning systems installed at the uppermost levels support airflow, odour control, and internal chute hygiene, while EF Neutralizer odour management units located within the discharge rooms further enhance environmental performance and resident amenity.

At basement level, waste and recycling streams discharge through offset arrangements designed to suit building layout requirements and future bin handling needs, forming part of the development’s broader residential waste management system engineered for long‑term reliability.
