Positioned along a major transport corridor close to the CBD, retail, and essential services, the project required a reliable waste solution capable of supporting daily resident use while maintaining compliance, efficiency, and long‑term performance.
To meet these requirements, Elephants Foot Chute Solutions supplied and installed three coordinated dual chute waste and recycling systems, providing efficient vertical waste transfer and clear separation of waste streams throughout the development.
Each system incorporates 510mm galvanised steel chute pipes configured in accordance with Elephants Foot standard details, ensuring durability and compliance across all levels. Fire‑rated, self‑closing waste and recycling intake doors are installed at each residential level, delivering safe, user‑friendly access while meeting stringent fire and building code requirements.
To improve acoustic performance, all chute runs are fitted with an upgraded acoustic lagging system, reducing operational noise and enhancing resident comfort. Smoke‑sealed intake doors further support fire safety and building compliance across all three buildings.
At discharge level, waste and recycling streams are managed via Type A bottom discharge systems designed to suit future bin size requirements. Integrated venting and wash‑down cleaning systems are installed at the uppermost levels, supporting airflow, odour control, and ongoing chute hygiene. Odour management within the discharge rooms is further enhanced through dedicated neutralisation units, contributing to a clean, efficient, and low‑maintenance apartment waste management solution aligned with the project’s long‑term operational needs.
