Elephants Foot Chute Solutions was engaged by 5 Point Projects to deliver a customised waste chute system for Perspective Albatross, a luxury beachfront development in Mermaid Beach. The project features eight residences averaging more than 200m², designed for premium coastal living with bespoke layouts and high-end finishes.

The works included the supply and installation of a waste chute system with 510mm galvanised steel chute pipes extending across five levels from ground to roof terrace. Each level was fitted with a self-closing, fire-rated Chute Door, upgraded with medium-temperature smoke seals, key-locking hardware, and signage for safety and compliance.

To enhance resident comfort, the system was installed with an acoustic lagging upgrade, bonded to convoluted foam and fixed to the chute sections for superior sound reduction. At the rooftop terrace, a vent and wash-down cleaning system was installed, designed to discharge through open air above the building to maintain hygiene and odour control.

At the basement level, the discharge room was equipped with a Type A Bottom Discharge Chute configured for 1000L MGBs, supported by an EF Neutralizer odour management system.

This installation ensured Perspective Albatross achieved a waste management system that balances safety, acoustic comfort, and operational efficiency with the prestige of beachfront living.
