High Rise Waste and Recycling Chute System for Paramount On Parkes in Harris Park

Paramount On Parkes is a high‑density residential tower located within the rapidly growing Parramatta corridor, designed to support modern multi‑level apartment living close to transport, retail and essential services. The scale of the development required a robust, compliant and high‑performance waste management solution capable of handling significant daily resident volumes while maintaining safety, hygiene and long‑term reliability.

Elephants Foot Chute Solutions delivered a purpose‑built Dual Chute System engineered to serve 39 residential levels, allowing waste to be managed efficiently through two independent vertical chute lines. The system was designed to minimise blockages, improve waste flow and ensure redundancy in the event of maintenance or peak usage, providing uninterrupted service for residents.

The system incorporates heavy‑duty galvanised steel chute pipework, fire‑rated and key‑locked Chute Doors installed on every residential level, and full‑height straight‑run vertical alignment to ensure smooth gravity‑fed waste transfer. At the base, waste is directed into a high‑capacity Linear Track Compactor System from Elephants Foot’s Discharge Attachments range, allowing bins to be automatically positioned and compacted to maximise 1100L MGB capacity and reduce collection frequency.

To maintain hygiene, odour control and fire safety, the system includes twin roof‑mounted vent and wash‑down assemblies, delivering automated chute cleaning and continuous air relief. This solution integrates seamlessly with Elephants Foot’s Chute Systems and Odour Management technologies, creating a future‑ready waste solution tailored to high‑rise residential living.

By combining vertical transport efficiency, secure access, automated compaction and advanced ventilation, the Paramount On Parkes installation provides a durable, compliant and low‑maintenance waste infrastructure that supports both resident convenience and building management performance.
