Elephants Foot Chute Solutions partnered with Hutchinson Builders to deliver advanced waste chute systems for Ozcare Villa Rosalie, a premium aged care and retirement living development located in Newstead, QLD.
Delivered in two stages as part of the Rendu Towers precinct, Ozcare Villa Rosalie integrates aged care, retirement apartments, corporate offices, and retail across a dual-tower, 21-storey complex. Stage 1 introduced key services and building infrastructure, while Stage 2 delivered a 120-bed residential aged care facility within the southern tower.
To support the scale and mixed-use nature of the development, Elephants Foot Chute Solutions supplied and installed a complete chute system. Stage 1 involved a 510mm LLDPE plastic chute servicing Levels 1 to 6 with a discharge attachment designed for 1,100L bins. Stage 2 extended the system to Levels 7 to 21, including 15 chute doors with self-closing, 2-hour fire-rated Waste Hopper doors, smoke seals, and another discharge point for 1,100L bins.
The installation was further enhanced with an integrated single bin compactor system, a 300mm vent pipe with an axial in-line fan, and full odour management to maintain hygiene across the facility. Elephants Foot Chute Solutions also provided ongoing annual maintenance services during the 12-month DLP period, ensuring long-term performance and compliance.
