Dual Chute System for Oasis Residences, South Melbourne

Elephants Foot partnered with Roberts Co to deliver a dual chute system for Oasis Residences, a 19-level luxury residential tower in South Melbourne designed by Hayball.

The solution included 510mm galvanised steel chute pipes spanning 18 levels for both waste and recycling. Each level was fitted with fire-rated hopper doors to ensure compliance with Australian Standards and safe operation. At the ground level, the chutes connect to an integrated single bin compactor system and a Type A discharge chute, designed to suit 660L mobile garbage bins.

The project also incorporated acoustic lagging upgrades for noise reduction, lockable access panels for safe maintenance, and multiple odour and washdown control features. These additions ensured that Oasis Residences met strict requirements for hygiene, performance, and resident amenity, while seamlessly integrating with the building’s premium design.
