NOMA Mosman Park - Dual Waste & Recycling Chute System

NOMA is a contemporary multi residential development located in Mosman Park, one of Perth’s established coastal suburbs. Delivered by Pact Construction, the project provides modern apartment living within a well connected coastal precinct while prioritising efficient building operations and long term asset performance.

Elephants Foot Chute Solutions supplied and installed a compliant dual 510mm galvanised steel waste chute system designed to support efficient vertical waste transfer across multiple residential levels. The system incorporates dedicated waste and recycling streams, enabling improved waste separation and streamlined waste room operations for building management.

The installation services 16 operational waste and recycling intake levels across eight floors of the building, with fire‑rated self‑closing hopper doors installed at each intake level to ensure safe operation and compliance with Australian building standards. Clear signage was installed at each chute intake to support appropriate waste disposal practices and assist with day‑to‑day building management.

Both chute systems run vertically without offsets, ensuring consistent gravity flow and reducing maintenance requirements over the life of the system. Integrated vent and wash‑down cleaning systems were installed above the top service level to support airflow management, odour control, and ongoing hygiene performance within the chute shafts.

Waste and recycling streams discharge to the Ground level waste room where dedicated linear bin handling systems were installed to suit 240L MGB bins. This configuration supports organised waste room operations and efficient bin handling for building management while maintaining a compact and practical waste infrastructure layout.
