Elephants Foot Chute Solutions delivers scalable dual chute waste management system for New Street Brighton Housing Project with Icon Construction

The New Street, Brighton Housing Project, delivered by Icon Construction under the Victorian Government’s Ground Lease Model, replaced 127 outdated social homes with 291 modern apartments across multiple residential buildings.

To support the long-term functionality and operational efficiency of this high-density development, Elephants Foot Chute Solutions, was engaged to design, supply, and install a robust and scalable waste management system.

The project involved the installation of five dual chute systems across Buildings A–E. Each system featured premium chute doors and signage, paired with discharge attachments to suit 1,100L mobile garbage bins (MGBs). To maintain hygiene and building performance, ventilation and wash-down systems were installed at the upper levels of each chute, ensuring odour control and easy maintenance.

By combining scalability with durability, Elephants Foot delivered a future-proof solution that streamlined waste and recycling separation, reduced manual handling for building managers, and supported safer, cleaner living for residents.
