Melrose Park Stage 4 is a high density residential development delivered by Parkview Construction within one of Sydney’s largest urban renewal precincts. Located close to Parramatta, major road links and new community infrastructure, the project supports multi level living and required a centralised waste management system capable of handling high daily resident volumes.
Elephants Foot Chute Solutions supplied and installed three independent waste chute and compactor systems across three residential buildings. Each system uses galvanised steel chute risers from the Elephants Foot Chute Systems range to provide smooth and reliable vertical waste transfer from every level to the basement bin rooms.
Every floor was fitted with fire rated self closing intake doors from the Elephants Foot Chute Doors range, ensuring safe resident use, fire compartmentation and controlled waste entry throughout each building core.
At basement level, waste is processed through linear compactor systems designed to suit 660 litre mobile garbage bins. These compactors improve bin capacity, reduce collection frequency and support efficient waste handling across all three towers.
Each chute is also fitted with a vent and wash down system from Elephants Foot’s Odour Management range, providing airflow and internal chute cleaning to control odours, maintain hygiene and support long term system performance.
The completed installation delivers Melrose Park Stage 3 with a compliant, high capacity and future ready waste solution that supports large scale residential living and reliable building operations.
