A comprehensive dual chute system designed to meet the waste management demands of a major high-rise within the Melbourne Quarter precinct.

Elephants Foot Chute Solutions was engaged by Lendlease to deliver a comprehensive dual chute system for West Tower, a landmark 45-level build-to-rent apartment building within the Melbourne Quarter precinct. Developed in partnership with Daiwa House, the tower will provide 797 residences across a mix of studio, one, two, and three-bedroom apartments, setting a new benchmark for high-quality and tenure-secure rental living in Melbourne’s Docklands.

The waste and recycling solution supplied by Elephants Foot extends across more than 40 levels and underground areas. It includes fire-rated self-closing hopper doors, acoustic isolation upgrades, odour relief vents, flushing sprays, and EF Neutralizer units to ensure hygiene and comfort for residents. At the discharge level, advanced Linear Track Systems were integrated to handle 1100L mobile garbage bins, reducing manual handling while improving operational efficiency.

A premium shop drawing service was also provided to streamline project coordination and fast-track delivery, ensuring a smooth integration of the waste infrastructure into the wider development.
