Waste Chute System Installed at KOYO Residences, Crows Nest

Elephants Foot Chute Solutions partnered with MLP CO to design, supply and install a waste chute system at KOYO Residences, a boutique project by renowned architect Koichi Takada. Comprising 27 premium two- and three-bedroom apartments and penthouses, the development blends organic design with expressive architectural forms in the heart of Crows Nest.

The system included four 510mm galvanised steel chute pipes servicing ground through level 3, each fitted with fire-rated, self-closing intake hopper doors. To meet site-specific wall set-outs, Elephants Foot provided custom short belly hoppers and fabricated chute support angle brackets, ensuring seamless integration with the building’s architecture.

A rooftop odour relief vent and flushing spray was installed to maintain hygiene and airflow, while the system discharged via a Type A discharge door with a minor offset into 1,100L MGBs located in the lower ground bin room.

The installation at KOYO Residences highlights Elephants Foot’s ability to deliver customised waste chute solutions for boutique, design-driven residential projects.
