HOME Parramatta Build is a high‑rise residential development delivered by Roberts Co within the Parramatta CBD. Positioned in a major commercial, transport, and civic precinct, the project required a waste solution capable of managing high daily resident volumes while maintaining compliance, durability, and long‑term operational performance in a dense urban environment.

To meet these requirements, Elephants Foot Chute Solutions supplied and installed a dual waste and recycling chute system, providing efficient vertical waste transfer and clear separation of waste streams across the building’s upper residential levels.

The system features 610mm galvanised steel chute pipes extending across 47 levels for both waste and recycling streams. Fire‑rated, self‑closing waste and recycling intake doors are installed on residential levels, ensuring safe, compliant access for residents while supporting high‑frequency daily use in a high‑rise setting.

At upper levels, integrated vent and wash‑down cleaning systems support airflow, odour control, and internal chute hygiene, helping to reduce maintenance demands and protect long‑term system performance.

At basement level, waste is managed via a high‑capacity carousel compactor system to suit 1100L MGBs, while recycling is handled through a dedicated carousel system without compaction. This arrangement supports efficient bin handling, safe back‑of‑house operations, and reliable waste collection within the building’s broader high‑density residential waste management system.
