
The Farmhouse Road development at Westmead is a landmark Build to Rent project delivered by Deicorp in partnership with AXA IM Alts and SGCH, forming part of the Westmead Health and Innovation Precinct. Comprising 397 apartments across five residential towers, the project required a robust and scalable waste solution capable of supporting long term residential use, high occupancy, and consistent operational performance.
Elephants Foot Chute Solutions designed and installed multiple dual waste and recycling systems using integrated Chute Systems across all buildings. Each tower was equipped with galvanised steel chute pipework and fire rated, self closing Chute Doors with smoke seal upgrades to support fire safety, acoustic control, and daily usability for residents.
At lower ground level, purpose designed Discharge Attachments direct waste streams into dedicated 1100 litre mobile garbage bins. Selected buildings incorporate Linear Track Bin Systems with compactors to manage waste volumes efficiently while maintaining safe manual handling and clear back of house circulation.
Odour relief vents and washdown systems were installed throughout the precinct in alignment with Elephants Foot Odour Management solutions, ensuring hygiene, airflow control, and long term system reliability across all towers. The result is a coordinated waste infrastructure solution designed to support the operational demands of large scale Build to Rent living.
