Eva Apartments is a residential development delivered by Multitude in Melbourne’s Bayside growth corridor. Located close to retail, transport and community services, the project supports medium density living and required a centralised waste and recycling system capable of managing daily resident volumes while meeting fire safety and compliance standards.
Elephants Foot Chute Solutions supplied and installed a complete dual chute solution using components from its Chute Systems range. The galvanised steel waste and recycling chute risers provide smooth and reliable vertical transfer from all residential levels to the ground floor discharge room, supporting consistent and low blockage operation.
Each level is fitted with fire rated self closing intake doors with smoke seals from Elephants Foot’s Chute Doors range. These doors improve fire compartmentation, limit smoke spread and ensure safe and controlled waste and recycling entry across the building.
At ground level, both waste and recycling streams are discharged through Type A bottom discharge units designed to suit 1100 litre mobile garbage bins. These discharge points provide secure bin connection and efficient changeover during collection, supporting smooth daily waste handling.
Two roof level vent and wash down systems from Elephants Foot’s Odour Management range provide airflow and automated internal chute cleaning, helping control odours, maintain hygiene and support long term system performance.
The completed installation delivers Eva Apartments with a compliant, low maintenance and future ready waste management solution that supports efficient building operations and a positive resident experience.
