Elephants Foot Chute Solutions collaborated with Hutchinson Builders to design, supply, and install an advanced eDiverter® chute system at Encore Broadbeach, a 25-storey residential tower comprising 84 luxury apartments at Broadbeach on the Gold Coast. Designed by Rothelowman, the building features signature curved architecture and premium amenity, requiring a waste solution that is discreet, efficient, and sustainable.
The system includes 24 levels of waste and recycling chute pipes, each fitted with fire-rated stainless steel chute doors equipped with electronic lock-out solenoids for safety and compliance. A central eDiverter® unit located in the garbage room enables automatic separation of garbage and recycling, eliminating the need for additional chutes while maximising basement efficiency.
Additional features include vent and wash-down cleaning systems to maintain hygiene, electronic operating switchboards at each level, and a fire-activated Type A closing facility for maximum safety. Together, these elements ensure the building is equipped with a future-proof waste management system that supports both operational efficiency and resident convenience.
